Herbed Lavender – Goat Milk Body Lotion
Goat milk body lotion is silky and smooth, and this is a medium-light weight fresh feeling lotion. Ingredients include coconut, sweet almond, and jojoba oils as well as shea butter and scented with essential oils. The herbed lavender blend is a mildly earthy pleasant combination of lavender and rosemary essential oils – a blend known for encouraging feelings of calm, peace and relaxation. Made with our own goat’s milk, which is high in fatty acids and vitamins rich in nutrients for your skin, it’s also very gentle and great for sensitivities because goat’s milk pH is very similar to that of human skin – unlikely to be an allergen or irritant.

- Emulsifying wax (binder, thickener, stabilizer)
- Coconut oil (locks in moisture, removes impurities, soothes irritations)
- Sweet almond oil (mild, cleansing, hypoallergenic, high in essential fatty acids, protein, potassium, and zinc)
- Jojoba oil (moisturizing, antibacterial, antioxidant, hypoallergenic)
- Optiphen plus (paraben free preservative) – because of the high liquid content of lotions, a preservative is key in order to keep away yucky bacteria
- Essential oils (soothing, rejuvenating, relaxing and healing properties)

Made from our own fresh goat’s milk as well as moisturizing and rejuvenating oils
Goat’s milk is the starting point for sensitive skin – it is kind and gentle, has the same pH to that of human skin and is naturally full of moisturizing fatty acids…so when you use goat milk skin products, you don’t disturb the acid mantle or the skin’s microbiome because your body doesn’t recognize it as a foreign substance and initiate an inflammatory response.

Lactic acid (Alpha-Hydroxy Acid – AHA) is a major moisturizer known for it’s gentle hydration and exfoliation properties. Lactic acid is a natural humectant, which means it helps retain moisture, leaving your skin smoother, brighter and more hydrated. You can’t really get much better than that in a lotion!Â

A lovely discovery!
We rented a cottage near Holmstead Farm, and the hosts generously set out your Herbed Lavender Goat Milk Body Lotion. Now, I had brought my own body cream, but it was in a less easy latch locked glass jar. My 3 yo niece visited us for Thanksgiving, and she sadly suffers from dermatitis. You know how hard it is to get a little one to adopt a habit. Well, we had to go and wash hands, and I thought: “Why not try this?” given the easy pump. I showed her how to pump out just a bit, and we spread it on our hands. She liked the lavender scent, and it felt good. I’m delighted to say that for the next two days, she would come to have me smell her hands, to show that she was WOW! making a habit. Now everyone likes it, and she’s getting it for Christmas!
